Telangana RERA issues notices to builders for violations

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has taken strict action against real estate firms selling unregistered open plots and flats. Notices have been issued to several firms as a result.

Neemsboro group, Excellence Properties, Prestige Group projects, Urban Yards, Happy Dream homes, Seven Hills, Kavuri Hills, Rivendell Farms, Sumadhura Infra Projects, and other companies have received notices from RERA chairman N Satyanarayana. These notices were issued due to their advertising of projects and pre-launches without RERA registration.

He said some companies like JB Infra Projects (JB Nature Valley) have been selling the plots without mentioning RERA registration number in its pamphlets and advertisements. “With this, prospective buyers cannot verify the properties details on the RERA website which is also a violation of RERA Act,” he added.

In addition, RERA has issued notices to real estate agents who are selling open plots on behalf of unregistered infrastructure companies. These firms and realtors have been given a 15-day period to respond to the notices, as stated by Satyanarayana.
